One of the key features of the new £23m state-of-the-art learning facility at the North Glasgow College Campus is its large central atrium which allows natural daylight to penetrate into the building
Mann McGowan won the specialist sub-contract to manufacture, install and glaze the atrium using its patented Pyrovista system.
The company worked closely with contractor Barr and architect RMJM so that the screens would incorporate large fixed and opening acoustic panelling.
The project also involved glazing large areas using fire-resisting glass, using Mann McGowan’s Certifire Approved Pyroglaze 60 seals to provide 60 minutes’ integrity and insulation.
