James & Taylor has supplied the aluminium cladding for the exterior of Jamie Oliver’s first independent restaurant in Canary Wharf

A total of 270m2 of the firm’s faceted Senses Aluminium tiling was used for the curving facade, which is mounted on vertical T rails.

The restaurant was designed by Adamson Associates, which specified the cladding for its crisp, clean appearance. The panels are also inherently strong but at the same time light enough to manhandle making them quick and easy to install. Jamie’s Italian is the blueprint for what is intended to become a chain of eateries.
