After reading your news story "Luxury Flats are first to use geothermal heating" (CM, July/Aug, p9) I nearly choked on my cornflakes.

This news article is way off the mark. I speak from my own experience when in 2003, I managed a social housing development in Nottingham using geothermal heating. To my knowledge the system has been used as early as 1998 in similar projects in the south west. Reference to www.earthenergy.co.uk will confirm.
