Harting has introduced an industrial gigabit ethernet switch, the eCon 2050-AA, which allows the connection of up to five gigabit ethernet ports in a small space.

The unit operates as an unmanaged switch in store-and-forward switching mode, and features automatic negotiation, crossing and polarity functions, which make it plug and play.

It is suitable for high data throughput, and supports frames of up to 9728 bytes.

The aluminium housing is sealed to IP 30, and the operating temperature range of -10°C to +70°C makes it suitable for harsh industrial environments.
