Fish funders: Developers have agreed a £25m funding deal with the Bank of Scotland to bankroll the ambitious £1.5bn Silvertown Aquarium development in the Thames Gateway.

The project is the centrepiece of a regeneration plan for the 20 ha site at Silvertown Quays, east London. It will include 3500 homes, 35% of which are set to be affordable.

The plans have been drawn up by architect Terry Farrell and the development is being spearheaded by Silvertown Quays and Kajima Urban Development.
