First Security(guards) have launched a Specialist Services Division to provide a range of specific, value-added services that will complement its core security guarding capabilities.
The brainchild of managing director Jonathan Levine (left) and sales director David Mundell, the new Division is to offer everything from close protection services and close escort provision through to the deployment of electronic surveillance, tracking and remote monitoring via dedicated IP-based systems.
While the Division will initially be led by the company’s existing senior management team, First’s directors are also looking to recruit senior figures from the industry to help develop further strategies and identify future client needs.
Jonathan Levine told SMT that he has been looking at the practicalities of launching a Specialist Services Division for some time, taking soundings from clients. “Client organisations are increasingly looking at ever-more innovative ways of protecting their buildings, assets and staff,” said Levine. “This is becoming more prescient, with the advent of licensing likely to drive up costs and restrict the supply of trained officers. A professional guarding operation supported by a range and diversity of specialist services is the way forward.”
