There was an error in your profile of Chris Holmes (“Stately Holmes”, HT, 5 November).

Holmes’ housing achievements are many, but the first director (and co-founder) of CHAR, the Campaign for the Homeless and Rootless, was Nick Beacock. He was also one of the founders of Crisis at Christmas (now Crisis) and later set up and ran the Campaign for Bedsit Rights (now part of Shelter).
