Jeld-Wen’s 35mm FireGuard 30-minute rated door is the same thickness as non-fire-rated internal doors, which makes it compatible with standard door frames.
The product was recently included in the Construction Product Association’s 2008 compendium of innovative products. The CPA was impressed by the development of a thinner core material that offers the same fire protection as thicker doors, as it will give homeowners better protection at a more affordable price, and is simple to install because it does not require 44mm frames. The door has been tested to BS476 Part 22 and complies with Building Regulations.
