Thousands of soccer crazy boys and girls enjoyed a family event at Darfield Football Club, last weekend.

Windowstyle UK, manufacturing arm of the Style Group UK Limited sponsored the junior soccer tournament.

The Style Group manufactures and retails replacement windows and doors from its factory at Wombwell, near Barnsley and several of its employees had children taking part in the event.

The tournament raised more than £3000, which will be used to fund the task of finding the region’s next Wayne Rooney or Stephen Gerrard.

More than 40 teams competed each day and were supported by more than 2,500 parents, families and friends.
