Faber Maunsell is to provide the building services for a £10m development in Sunderland.
Subject to planning the project will create a five-story, river front mixed-use development, know as The Edge, situated at Scotia Quays on the River Wear.

The development will include 220sq m of self-contained exhibition space; 240 sq m of open plan leisure space; 1, 630 sq m of office accommodation split over two floors and 18 two-bedroom apartments.
The project aims to achieve level 4/5 of the Code for Sustainable Homes and a BREEAM rating of ‘Excellent’.
Planning approval is expected early in 2009.
