Twenty-five years after starting MR Security, Tony Bygraves has successfully obtained significant Private Equity Finance in order to embark on a three to five year programme of expansion through the acquisition of other quality security businesses.

This process has begun with the acquisition of Hoffman Security plc, with a further two or three acquisitions anticipated by Christmas. The re-financing has meant some restructuring, so while Bygraves remains chief executive, industry specialist Stuart Glover has joined as group managing director and Sir Adrian Bailey has been made executive director.

l Yorkshire-based Securahomes Limited, developer of an affordable monitored home security system, is moving to larger premises thanks to a substantial investment from Partnership Investment Finance,which has allowed the business to expand into offices in Eccleshill, Bradford.
