Pelco has introduced a network video security system boasting a powerful, fault-tolerant distributed software architecture

Pelco’s Endura is a network-based video security system that’s fully-distributed and non-centralised, thereby allowing end users to exploit Local Area Networks (LANs) and existing IT infrastructures.

In simple terms, this translates into significant cost savings when it comes to cabling, hardware and manpower resources.

Endura offers all of the necessary components for the design and installation of a complete networked system. With encoders, decoders, recorders, PC workstations, console displays, storage units and advanced management technologies, end users now have all the tools necessary for building a state-of-the-art, high performance, fault-tolerant surveillance system – all delivered over an Ethernet network.

Pelco is at great pains to point out that Endura offers the image quality, responsiveness and redundancy of traditional analogue installations. Dynamic video stream optimisation allows for minimal latency, with Endura using over 30 Pelco-exclusive pending patents to guarantee that the client’s viewing experience is everything it needs to be.

The company has also introduced the NVR300 network video recorder, which provides an integrated, centralised recording solution. This latest addition to the Pelco systems family allows end users to store all the data they want by using internal or external RAID5.
