A replacement window contract awarded to Emplas Window Systems by Cranfield University, has recently been completed. The contract involved the replacement of windows on the campus site on Building 52, one of four converted aircraft hangars occupying the site.

Built between 1934 and 1936, this building was converted to its current usage housing offices, research labs and lecture rooms over 24 years ago and the windows were beginning to deteriorate. As part of Cranfield's ongoing window replacement scheme throughout the entire campus, the original timber windows were replaced by Emplas using Profile 22 casement suites.

The contract came on the back of a previous scheme where Emplas fitted 240 casement windows and door entry systems as part of a renewal contract for another building on the site.
