Eileen simpson – head of rec Industry Sector Groups – died on Tuesday 6 February.

Eileen was a much loved and highly respected member of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation, having dedicated 12 years to the cause.

Behind the scenes Eileen was a keen advocate of the security sector, and it was only through her active support that the joint REC/BSIA Recruitment Standards and Code could be formulated.

In addition, Eileen was instrumental in promoting the ethical side of the security industry to other members of the REC and their clients. SMT mourns the passing of a great sector champion.
