Architect Levitt Bernstein's competition-winning development has received the go-ahead from the London Borough of Brent Planning Committee.
The eco-friendly scheme consists of 130 new flats and maisonettes in two phases and will be built on Granville Road, Kilburn. Features include sedum-planted roofs, thermal and acoustic insulation and rainwater harvesting.
The project is encouraging a strong community involvement with local people being trained to read planning briefs to strengthen their input into the way the buildings are to be designed and built.
The QS and PM is Baily Garner and the structural and mechanical engineer is Connell Mott MacDonald.
