I’m pleased to say the new ECA website is now live and offering specialist advice and assistance for our members.

As levels of activity continue to increase we hope our online service will be an invaluable tool that will enable members to keep up to date on all industry issues, book courses, gain advice, download certificates and more.

At the end of January, the ECA purchased Elecsa. The acquisition went smoothly and it is business as usual for both the Elecsa and BRE Certification schemes, which will continue to run independently. This is a great opportunity for the ECA to ensure healthy competition is maintained between the five Part P schemes.

Finally, the results of the 2006 fourth quarter member business survey revealed the good health of the industry and an optimistic mood among members for 2007. Despite this, the survey revealed areas of concern, such as pressure on margins and labour shortages. The ECA will continue to provide full support to members, to assist on and alleviate concerns wherever possible.
