The Electrical Contractors Association says its fourth quarterly member business survey reveals growing confidence in the industry, with members continuing to report a strong upturn in turnover during the last quarter of 2006.

The survey shows a third of respondents reporting a higher turnover than in quarter three, but 18 per cent reporting a decline in turnover. The net balance of those seeing growth remained at a consistent quarterly level of 16 per cent. And there is optimism for 2007, with 38 per cent of the Association's members expecting a year-on-year increase in business, and only 12 per cent expecting a decline.

l The ECA has launched its ‘Fire and Security Association’ which it says will focus on lobbying, guidance and training to develop and maintain standards. More information is available by calling 020 7313 4831.
