The Electrical Contractors Association says its fourth quarterly member business survey reveals growing confidence in the industry, with members continuing to report a strong upturn in turnover during the last quarter of 2006.

The survey shows a third of respondents reporting a higher turnover than in quarter three, but 18 per cent reporting a decline in turnover. The net balance of those seeing growth remained at a consistent quarterly level of 16 per cent. And there is optimism for 2007, with 38 per cent of the Association's members expecting a year-on-year increase in business, and only 12 per cent expecting a decline.
