Working in partnership with Shepherd Construction, building services contractor Briggs & Forrester has recently been awarded a £2.7 million contract to design and install the m&e services at Cambridge Science Park’s new Building 101.

Designed by Scott Brownrigg for Exempla Properties, the scheme is set to provide 90 000 sq ft of commercial office space for use by Cambridge Science Park tenants.

Briggs & Forrester will provide complete mechanical, electrical and public health services for the building.

Established by Trinity College, Cambridge, in 1970, Cambridge Science Park is the UK’s oldest science park. It is set in 152 acres of university-owned land on the north-eastern edge of the city of Cambridge.

The science park is home to more than 90 high-tech companies, the majority of which are involved in scientific research and development, and 5000 personnel.

It continues to attract new businesses, from small start-ups to multinational subsidiaries.
