CIOB president Martin Chambers awarded two President’s Medals at the annual dinner on 27 February.

John Armitt, chairman of the ODA, received one. The other went to Dr Roopa Salwan, consultant cardiologist at the Maz Devi Vascular Unit in New Delhi, India. Chambers, who was taken ill in India earlier this year, said: ‘Without the dedication and hard work of Dr Roopa Salwan and her team it is most likely that I would not be here to present this medal.’
