In the days when 70 year-old Nick Heyhoe (of the Heritage Glass Group) first joined the window industry, he would knock on doors and introduce the occupants to double-glazing.
‘At the time (1958), it was probably better known as secondary glazing which fitted behind original windows. That developed into insulated windows and the rest of the story is now history’ says Nick
‘As far as I am concerned, age doesn’t come into it – you are as young as you feel’ he adds, with no intention of packing it in.
Nick joined Heritage Glass five years’ ago and sales director Tony Randall said the group did not discriminate when it came to age.
‘In 2003 we won an Age Positive award which we collected from Downing Street. We are Age Positive Champions’ says Tony.
