Health & Safety is considered just as much a component as motors, pneumatic cylinders or any other material at Ashton Industrial: It has to be designed in to any machinery development right from the start.
One example is Aston's desiccant filler, designed with a powered tilt mechanism which lowers the machine's hopper to waist level for re-filling, thereby removing the necessity for an operative to climb a step ladder with a 25kg load. It's a small but important factor that helps eliminate the risk of back injury, or accidents from falling.
In their range of tube saws, the blade is fully enclosed in a shatterproof enclosure. And all driven rollers on Ashton's production lines are designed to slip if there is unusual interference, taking out any danger of operator entanglement.
