Euro-tec solutions and Dedicated Micros have given an entertainment venue an overhaul in readiness for live broadcasts of MTV's Chart Show.
The Commplex in Edinburgh is located in a converted church. The 450 capacity multifunctional venue is split on two levels and hosts club nights and live bands, as well as weddings and corporate events.
VIP artists at the MTV Europe Music Awards – including Kylie, The Darkness and Atomic Kitten – popped in to chat with presenter Dave Berry. Club owner Kevin Hay said: "With some of the biggest names in the music business in the building, we had to be 110 per cent confident about the equipment."
Euro-Tec Solutions recommended a digital system upgrade to a 16-way DS2 digital multiplex recorder from DM. DS2 offers a cost-effective combination of video multiplexing, digital recording, network video transmission and dome control in one self-contained package.
