10:15AM Irish construction consultant appointed safety and access consultant on Dublin Docklands scheme

Construction consultant Healy Kelly Turner & Townsend has been appointed by Dublin Docklands Development Authority to provide safety and access consultancy for the Campshires area of Dublin’s Docklands.

The Irish firm will use its specialists to undertake a full safety and access review of the entire north and south Campshires, including all pedestrian infrastructure. This includes footways and bridges, cycle paths, street furniture, lighting and signage.

Company director Martin Londra said: “Our safety and consultancy team are successfully delivering projects for Dublin Airport Authority, DDDA and Dublin City Council.”

The scheme will be delivered over the next few months and will result in a safety and access advice report on the existing environment and a design review on the areas under development local to George’s Dock.

In addition, Dublin City Council Framework has appointed HKT&T’s access consultants to work on six main areas for the initial period of two year. This includes large buildings, medium buildings, small buildings, large parks, nature reserves and river valleys, small and medium parks and sports and recreation facilities.
