11:00AM QS gets taste of glamour with Westfield's West London premium shopping centre

Davis Langdon has been appointed QS for a glamorous new shopping centre in White City, London.

The scheme's launch party on Sunday was sprinkled with celebrities including Jade Jagger, Richard Bacon and up and coming band The Zutons.

"In true Westfield style guests were treated to Moijto and Mai Tai cocktails created by Appleton VX rum," a press release from the Australian developer said.

The £1.6bn Westfield London mall will feature a "spectacular undulating glass roof", plus shops, restaurants, bars and leisure facilities.

It is expected to open in 2008.

Architect DSDHA, working with QS Davis Langdon, development consultant Cushman Wakefield Healy Baker, sustainability consultant ESD and historical advisor Professor Andrew Saint, has revealed the framework plan for the redevelopment of Hornsey Town Hall.
