Sixty eight companies when into administration between July and September compared to 86 in Q2

Construction firms falling into administration fell by 21% in the last quarter according to the latest statistics on insolvencies.

Between July and September 68 construction firms went into administration compared to 86 in the previous quarter, according to National Statistics.

The Q3 figure was 36% lower than for the same period last year when 106 businesses collapsed.

At the height of the recession in 2008 Q4 156 firms went into administration.
