Dance hall classic: Elderly black and minority-ethnic residents of Southampton enjoy a Western Challenge Housing Association event last Friday.

The event included dancing and an Asian lunch and aimed to forge community links.

Western Challenge chair Lynda Price said: “We want to let the BME community be aware of the sheltered schemes that are available and encourage them to visit to see the standards of care and talk to some of our residents.”
