Cyril Sweett launches new division

Cyril Sweett has launched a building surveying arm in the UK by making appointments in London, Bristol, Glasgow and Leeds.

Currently the building surveying division had 15 staff in England and Scotland, but plans to increase its specialist team to 65 staff by the end of 2007.

Dean Webster, Cyril Sweett chief executive, said: "We are delighted to welcome Gary Fraughen and his team to Cyril Sweett, and with their proven track record they will be a major asset to us and our clients."

Senior appointments in the London office include Gary Fraughen as director and head of building surveying, Peter Mullins as head of team/associate director, Geoff Trollope as associate and Alan Beckett as senior surveyor.

Simon Gage has been appointed associate in Bristol and Heather McIntyre is an associate in Glasgow.
