Currie & Brown costs new office scheme

Currie & Brown is working on a £30m new 31-storey office block in Dubai. The One Business Bay tower project at Business Bay is due for completion in early 2008. The main contract has just been won by Abu Dhabi-based contractor Emirates Belbadi.

The 22-month contract calls for the construction of an office block on plot 1 in Business Bay to the south of the main entrance into the development from Shaikh Zayed road. The local/UK Dutco Balfour Beatty has completed the enabling works package, Germany’s Kling Consult is the design consultant and local firm Hamilton is the project manager. Omniyat Properties, the real estate subsidiary of Almasa Holdings, is the client.
