The Housing Corporation has reshuffled its southern senior team in preparation for the departure of director of investment Clive Turner, at the end of this month.
Director of investment and regeneration policy Fiona Cruickshank became director of investment for the South-east, a newly created post, on 1 April.

And Phil Deacon, who was assistant director of investment for the South-west, will become director of investment for the South-west at the end of April.

Cruickshank, a former teacher, said: "It's very difficult to say what will happen in the future. [Incoming corporation chief executive] Jon Rouse may wish to make some changes, so this is a holding measure. Some questions need to be asked about where our resources should be targeted and, with a £600m development programme over the next two years, our focus must be delivery."

Both posts are temporary and may change when Rouse joins the corporation full-time in June.

John Barker, chief executive of Moat Housing Association, which has 1100 homes in the South, said: "It's good news that we've got somebody who is a senior person within the corporation and has a good knowledge of investment able to take over on an interim basis."
