Monitoring officers at the Coventry Communications Centre, the security 'arm' of Coventry City Council based in Holbrooks, have been presented with an award for not only achieving ISO 9001:2000 accreditation, but also for retaining their National Security Inspectorate (NSI) accreditation with fire alarm enhancement.
The Centre has recently achieved accreditation for monitoring fire systems, and is also soon to be awarded the prestigious National Security Inspectorate (NSI) Gold ARC (Alarm Receiving Centre) Award. This follows on from previous NSI accreditation in October 2001 for the monitoring of intruder alarms. The Centre has also been classed as a Category 2 Control Centre, meaning that monitoring staff are readily able to verify sequential, audio and visual intruder alarm signals.
