Housing Corporation staff in the North-west have requested a meeting with bosses to discuss the merger of its Manchester and Liverpool offices.
Liverpool workers have written to chief executive Norman Perry to express their fear that the move will lead to job losses. The corporation denies this.

Staff claim the corporation has not drawn up a business plan to justify the move. One said: "There doesn't seem to be any logical argument."

Perry and the corporation's executive team say the move will bring the body's structure in line with regional housing boards. They have turned down previous requests for meetings.

A corporation spokeswoman said staff would be consulted on arrangements for the move but "did not know" if Perry would agree to a meeting.
