Three leading QSs have been appointed to the team drawing up plans for the £10bn Crossrail project. A joint venture between Corderoy and Franklin + Andrews and EC Harris are working on the London Crossrail link. Corderoy and F+A will be estimating the central and south east section of the scheme while EC Harris will oversee the surface railway works to the west and north east.

Davis Langdon is working on a new £32m academic building for the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). The 12,700m² scheme will be built by contractor Osborne under a two-stage design and build contract. The design team includes architect Gromshaw, structural engineer Alan Baxter and Associates and M&E consultant Battle McCarthy.

EC Harris has recently acted for the world's largest construction project management company on the sale of the largest single entity building in France. The firm worked on behalf of Tishman Speyer for the purchase of the 135,000m² Le Lumière in the Bercy business district in Paris. The Le Lumière purchase means that EC Harris has supported Tishman Speyer on the purchase of more than €1 billion of property assets across France in recent months. EC Harris has also been providing cost management services to Tishman Speyer for the construction of over 40,000m² offices in Paris and La Defense.

Dobson White Boulcott has won a three-year role with Brunel University in west London to oversee £8m worth of refurbishment works.

Thomson Gray has won a QS role with Edinburgh University on a new building for the School of Biological Sciences within the University's King's Buildings Campus in Edinburgh.
