Sales: A net 4% (the difference between 24% who sold more and 20% who sold less) of conservatory fabricators reported an increase in sales in October 2005 compared with September 2005 in the Monthly Index sponsored by Eurocell Profiles Ltd.

Large fabricators and firms in the South and Midlands did best. However, compared with the same period in 2004, a balance of 4% of fabricators sold fewer conservatories in October 2005.

Forecasts: Looking ahead and reflecting the time of year, a balance of 16% of conservatory fabricators expect sales to fall in November 2005 compared with October 2005. Mid-sized firms (20%) are the only ones forecasting to sell more over this period.

Similarly, compared with November 2004, a balance of 16% of conservatory fabricators forecast sales to drop in November 2005.
