BSRIA has published the second edition of its Illustrated Guide to Electrical Building Services.

This is a substantial update of the previous edition and takes into account many recent legislative changes for fire detection systems, as well as covering new technologies such as wireless LANs, PVs and flywheel generation systems.

The illustrated guides, which are designed for construction clients and professionals, provide basic reference material to assist technical dialogue between the client and design team during the briefing process. They may also help clients raise technical questions. Among the subjects covered are power supplies and controls, fire detection and alarm systems, security systems and structured cabling.
