Thank you for publishing my email (6 October, page 38). I must however express my disappointment that key elements were edited out:

“The Major Contractors Group was invited to take part in the development of this important initiative and yet we were respectfully told that we should realise our position in the supply chain and act accordingly. The offer was declined.

“Beware, the specialists are coming!”

The MCG would gain so much more from our industry if they would talk to us instead of the usual bellicose noises that come out of Tufton Street – we need each other.
