Suzanne Reeves tells us in her article extolling the virtues of JCT2005 (20 July, page 54): “An amendment to the JCT2005 forms has already been issued for the CDM regulations … CIS amendments to all the other contracts in the suite will be included in the reprints of the 2005 contracts.”

Sadly, unlike the 1998 versions, which used to precisely list changes on the inside back cover, the reprinted JCT2005 Revision 1, which I recently received, doesn’t say anywhere how or where these revisions differ from the previously issued amendment.

So we’re back to playing spot the difference. I expect this may be why many practitioners are reluctant to upgrade.
