Engineer and sports addict Chris Lynn is happy to admit he uses his computer to play games, watch the Olympics and visit football websites, but is a bit more secretive about the present he’s bought his wife

What’s your favourite website?

I regularly visit Times Online (timesonline.co.uk) for news. At home it’s the iTunes store and Amazon, but as an avid football fan my favourite is footymad.co.uk.

What have you recently bought online?

With my wedding anniversary in the next couple of weeks I’m currently tracking a gift from Gucci in Italy, but please don’t tell my wife.

Do you network online?

I leave social networking to my son although recently he did show me Facebook and his rather impressive list of 441 friends. It’s just not top of my priority list, to be perfectly honest.

What’s in your digital holster?

I have a Dell widescreen laptop, BlackBerry, Nokia mobile phone, JVC camera, Sony memory stick and Mio portable satnav. Also, an iPod nano, but only during holidays.

Having recently holidayed in the US it wasn’t difficult formy son to persuade me I also needed an Apple iPhone. I’m currently working out how I integrate this into my digital life.

What’s your TV choice?

I frequently use BBC iPlayer for those missed programmes. I recently downloaded the Olympics 2008 review which provided a fantastic overview of the whole Games.

Where shall we play?

I prefer real-life games, but with limited spare time I usually have a go at the games on my son’s Sony PS3. His current favourite is Call of Duty 4, which has fantastic graphics and is very addictive. Nintendo Wii Sports (especially the boxing game) keeps me fit and Brainteaser is a good test of mental agility.

What’s your favourite tune?

I’ve got quite a broad taste in music, although I’ve inherited my father’s love of Frank “Old Blue Eyes” Sinatra – all the old favourites have got a good run recently. I also like The Police but my wife doesn’t, which is why the iPod nano is particularly useful.
