With reference to the issue of foreign trades taking UK jobs, while the government is correct in stating that we can all apply for these jobs, that everything is fair and square and minimum wage laws and so on are covered, this does not mean that the wages paid to these overseas trades are comparable with other UK wages for this type of work

The fact that this money does not stay in the economy is the price we pay for the EU policy. However, costs of living across Europe are different and the foreign trades are able to work at lower rates for their work skills due to the lower cost of living in these countries, and there is now no way of legislating that a fair work skills rate should apply to each and every job across Europe.

The government seems to have lost sight of the fact that this is the reason for the discontent. Perhaps the trades themselves have not thought this through and realised that this is the true basis of the problem.
