Architect is right about the opportunity for the redevelopment of the Heathrow Site
I agree with Norman Foster (“Close Heathrow to raise funds for Thames Hub airport, Foster argues”, 10 July). This is how they do things in the Middle and Far East. Think big and double it.
He is right about the opportunity for the redevelopment of the Heathrow Site.
However, there is a lot of debt on the surrounding developments in this area and the compensation would be billions in its own right.
Personally, I think “yes” to the Estuary airport, Gatwick operations should move to Heathrow and then Gatwick can be redeveloped instead.
