In December 2003, my son Sebastian launched a campaign to fundraise for a purpose-built facility that would provide much-needed respite for families with seriously ill children

Sebastian was nine years old, and had been battling cancer for two-and-a-half years when, sadly, he died on Christmas Eve 2003 - the day his campaign launched in the press.

In the past five years, Sebastian’s Action Trust – the charity set up in his name - has raised more than £800,000 towards the project and we are over-the-moon to have recently been issued with full planning permission to build his respite home. The generosity of so many people has helped us get this far. Planning consultants, architects, surveyors and solicitors offered their services free, not to mention those who helped fundraise.

We are now appealing for help from building professionals, specialist subcontractors and suppliers able to help in any way; whether it be offering goods or services free or at a subsidised rate. We would love to hear from you.
