Greener arguments

Green issues figure strongly this month. It’s exciting news that solar panels are going mainstream, and the product is within the installation company’s ballpark. You might want to ask yourself, if you started out in business tomorrow, what sort of business would you be starting?

It’s nice idea to think that Tony Blair might take note of Edgetech’s lobby letter, but does the PM know the meaning of Warm Edge technology? A tax break on replacement windows is asked for at every GGF lobby lunch at Westminster, only to fall on deaf ears.

Greater incentives for high performance glazing would give a great boost to both the industry and emissions targets. But we can only hope for more cohesive lobbying from ambitious companies.
