I am an expat QS and a member of the RICS. Please, for the sake of my sanity and that of others, do not carry any articles about the RICS’ desire to have visa restrictions lifted for foreign QSs.

I have spent only five of my 20 working years overseas. I tried to get a job back in the UK. I failed. I was told on many occasions that my experience was not relevant. No foreign QS, who lives in a nice warm country, earns a nice fat expat salary and does not pay 40%-plus tax is going to come and work in the UK, unless they have a mental illness.
