This four-storey, steel-framed building in Felixstowe was designed by Colwyn Foulkes & Partners Architects, with Charles D Smith Associates acting as services consultant, for China Shipping (UK) Agency and Johnson Stevens Agencies. The building is clad in glass and copper. A custom-built system using Levolux’s western red cedar timber louvres will provide solar shading while allowing views out to the North Sea. The timber was specified for its ability to withstand the testing seafront environment. The building provides a total of 3458m2 of accommodation and will house 250 people.
