Morrison Construction’s new regional manager for the Falkland Islands, Butler will head up a 40-strong team tackling a variety of building and civil engineering projects for the Falkland Islands government.




Johan Karlström

Skanska has appointed Karlström as its new president and CEO, succeeding Stuart Graham. Karlström joined Skanska in 1983 and has held several positions, including northern regional manager.




Richard Adams

The new managing director of Balfour Beatty Rail Projects, Adams will focus on integrating the firm’s business activities in the UK and abroad. He has previously worked for Balfour Beatty Civil Engineering.




Jim Morgan

Morgan Ashurst has promoted regional commercial director Jim Morgan to area director of its Manchester office. Key jobs will include the £36m Salford Schools PFI and a £30m extension to Manchester University.

James Owen joins Galliford Try Renewables as sustainability manager, where he will advise the housebuilding division.

Jeremy Sumeray is the new director of strategy at the UK Green Building Council.

CALA Homes (West) has taken on Mike Tomlinson as land manager, while Gavin Pope joins CALA Homes (East), also as land manager.

Macclesfield-based construction consultancy, the Copperleaf Group, has appointed Dan Hastings as graduate designer and James Moon as trainee quantity surveyor.
