I would like to clear up any confusion with respect to the GF Partnership, caused by the MPG Associates announcement relating to their acquisition of Bedford based quantity surveyors, GF Civils, featured in the 28 July edition of QS News.

The GF Partnership was established in 1991 by Graham Freeman and Nigel Grout to provide quantity surveying services to the construction and civil engineering industry. In May 1998, it was decided to divide the company into GF Partnership (Building) Ltd and GF Civils Ltd, enabling each partner to specialise within each sector as separate stand-alone entities.

The GF Partnership (Building) Ltd, also known as GFP, further developed its business to provide quantity surveying and commercial support services to main contractors across all QS disciplines. Based in Bedford, we employ over 90 staff and consultants, with a fee turnover in excess of £4m.
