Planning consent has been given to new civic offices in Woolwich town centre. The £45 million scheme will include a reception, public library, public services centre, business centre and gallery.

The design uses a mixed-mode ventilation strategy which aims to reduce carbon consumption by more than 50% relative to accepted best practice set out in ECON 19. It is also intended to link the scheme to a trigeneration CHP plant within the masterplan for the area. Architects on the project are HLM, structural engineers are Buro Happold, and M&E consultants are Hilson Moran
