City & Guilds has appointed NICEIC Group as its lead consultant to develop its electrotechnical qualifications.

NICEIC has been working with City & Guilds to create a suite of qualifications for the electrical contracting industry that are relevant, up-to-date and practical.

“I believe our work with City & Guilds will greatly benefit the electrical industry now and in the future,” says NICEIC chief executive Jim Speirs.

“Our organisation is keen to ensure that industry qualifications are fit for purpose, not just for our 24 000 contractors, but for the industry as a whole. We are pleased to give City & Guilds our extensive technical backing and support.”
