The CIBSE Scotland Young Engineers Section is hoping to expand its committee for the forthcoming 2006-2007 session in order to carry on with recent changes and ensure that future developments are made. It is looking for four or five new members to join the committee, taking its overall number to nine or 10.
The decision to take on new members follows major changes for the CIBSE section, allowing it to rebrand and offer more to members, fellow professional institutions and sponsors. The hard work of a core group of people and dedication of the regional membership in attending functions has gone towards supporting the efforts throughout the year.
New members will help to arrange functions and technical seminars, as well as offering suggestions as to how the group can continue to move forward. Meetings would take place every month over dinner and drinks, rotating between Edinburgh and Glasgow – new members in the Edinburgh area would be particularly helpful.
