The CIBSE Intelligent Buildings Group held its launch event on 19 October at the Royal Society. A packed room of delegates listened to a series of presentations on what an intelligent building is, and what the future holds for this new and innovative sector of the buildings industry.

Presentations included design integration, developments in IT, intelligent controls, procurement and international perspectives on intelligent buildings. Derek Clements-Croome chaired the event and led a lively discussion before drinks and canapés were served.
